Licensed from the State of Oregon as a Certified Family Child Care Home, Pomme d’Api  is a French immersion daycare located in Northwest Portland. We welcome children from 3 months old to 3 years old.

Early childhood is a time for having fun and enjoying the "work" of being a child. This is best done through active and quiet play, both self-guided and educator guided.

I firmly believe that children should have the joy of exploring the world around them and discovering who they are and what they are capable of as individuals and what they can do with their peers. In order to accomplish these goals, children need to be in a safe, encouraging and loving environment.

Our curriculum is both experience and typical learning environment based and integrates French language and culture. We sing, dance, do art, talk, problem solve, learn about shapes, numbers and the alphabet, and do a whole lot more each and every day.

It is my goal to provide an environment that will allow your children to feel good about themselves, their daycare experience and the world around them.

Pomme d'Api has 2150 indoor and outdoor square feet and encompasses :

  • The Infants and young toddlers room for children from 3 months to 15 months. Each baby will have their own and dedicated crib.

  • The main room for toddlers including a kitchen, a dining area, and a very spacious open floor-plan for them to play. The Bathroom includes two changing tables, a toilet and two sinks. Thanks to our many large windows in both rooms, children can fully enjoy the benefit of natural light.

  • Our outdoor space offers more than 1450 square feet for children to play, discover and explore. We try to use the outdoor space twice a day, every day, when weather allows.

We believe in providing nutritious, kid-friendly meals to children. Our food is mainly organic.
We follow the USDA food program guidelines and ensure the nutritional quality of meals and promote healthy eating.
